First Class Tips
If this will be your first class with us, please read all the following tips to ensure a smooth and productive experience.
-
Please schedule your trial and complete your waiver online before attending your trial (no walk-ins).
To ensure a smooth experience for all participants and avoid class interruptions, aim to arrive 10 minutes before your class start time for a tour of the facility and have any questions answered before the class. Trials that arrive more than 15 minutes after the class start time are welcome to reschedule their trial to get a full experience of the class.
-
Muay Thai training consists of low and high intensity workouts (yes, this means cardio), so supply the body with enough energy to fully participate. This requires some preparation before participating:
Be well-rested and hydrated
Have a pre-workout meal/smoothie digested beforehand
If you are feeling sick on the day of your trial, you are always welcome to reschedule.
-
Our school strives to maintain a training environment that is productive, neutral and free from unnecessary distractions. Students are required to maintain an appropriate appearance and focus on training instead of displaying aesthetic results or promoting divisive causes.
APPROPRIATE
• Top: long/short sleeved dry fit shirts, wear a padded sports bra underneath your top
• Bottom: leggings, sweatpants, or loose shorts with compression shorts/leggings underneath
INAPPROPRIATE
• Top: beachwear, crop tops, hats, sports bra only for top, no bra, shirts with political or explicit content (e.g., messages, images, or brands)
• Bottom: low rise/booty shorts
-
• Towel
• Water bottle
We do not have any water fountains at our facility. Please bring enough water to sustain you during and after class.
• Indoor flip flops/slip-ons
Training is done barefoot on the mats. It is recommended you also bring a pair of slip-ons to easily transition from the mats to the main floor where you can access the shelves or to go to the washroom. Walking barefoot on the main floor and walking on the mats with footwear is not permitted.
• If you have your own wraps & gloves from previous training, you are welcome to bring them. If not, just have the listed items above.
-
We are located at 30 Gillingham Drive, Unit 502 Brampton inside “Movement Patterns” with the black sign as seen in the image below below.
*The white sign entrance may be locked during mornings, go around the parking lot for the black sign entrance.

• Take breaks if needed. If you will be training for the first time ever, or for the first time in a long time, there may be moments of difficulty and that’s ok! Feeling tired or sore is a sign of effort, not weakness. Listen to your body, slow down or pause if you need to.
• Ask questions. If there is an exercise or drill that you are unsure of, ask. Questions are a sign of curiosity, not incompetence. Knowing and explaining is the job of the teacher anyway :)
