Instructor Code of Conduct
As an instructor at Queens Muay Thai, you play a vital role in shaping a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for our students. This Code of Conduct outlines the expectations and responsibilities you must uphold to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and leadership to ensure that Queens Muay Thai continues to be a school where students can thrive.

• Lead by example on and off the mats, demonstrating respect, discipline, humility, and integrity.
• Maintain a professional demeanor in class, competitions, seminars, and public events.
• Avoid behavior that could undermine your credibility as an instructor.
• Use social media responsibly, ensuring your posts reflect the professionalism and values of Queens Muay Thai.
• Support and promote Queens Muay Thai values and mission in all interactions.

• Treat all students, parents, and colleagues with respect, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, ability, or background.
• Take steps to ensure all students feel welcome and included.
• Address any form of bullying, harassment, inappropriate behaviors, or discrimination immediately to the head instructor.
• Monitor students closely during training to prevent injuries and maintain a safe training environment.
• Thoroughly explain and use appropriate techniques to ensure all drills and exercises are suitable for the students’ age, size, and skill level.
• Enforce hygiene and safety rules, including clean uniforms, short nails, and use of proper equipment.
• In the event of accidents, injuries, medical emergencies, criminal activity, or unusual occurrence, you must submit an incident report within 24 hours of the incident, to ensure timely follow-up and resolution.

• Avoid favoritism or forming inappropriate personal relationships with students or their families that could be perceived as unprofessional or unethical.
• Respect the privacy of students, parents, and colleagues. Do not share sensitive or personal information without consent.
• Communicate openly and respectfully with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Keep parents informed about their child’s progress and any concerns related to their training.

• Provide clear, constructive, and positive feedback to help students grow in their practice.
• Avoid negative or demeaning language. Critique in a way that builds confidence and skill, rather than discouraging students.
• Encourage sportsmanship, humility, and respect for teammates, opponents, and other martial arts schools.

• Continuously improve your skills and teaching methods by pursuing professional development, and training in Muay Thai and self-defense.
• Strive to improve both your teaching and personal conduct based on constructive criticism.
• Be punctual and prepared for every class, with a clear plan for each session that aligns with the Queens Muay Thai curriculum and school culture.
If instructors severely violate the terms in the Instructor Code of Conduct, Queens Muay Thai and its staff have the right to terminate your membership/instructor contract without refund and/or pay.
